Appartement Solar de Sao Joao

i was really dissapointed with the overall of this hotel, on arriving to the hotel we were given our room kep and basically told to find our own way to the room. there was no tour of the hotel. no fire exits no information whats so ever about services and facitilities. nor did the staff speak very good english. i was having a conversation on the phone on the balcony one afternoon and reception phoned and told me to keep the noise down..... plus myself and my friends were approached outside the hotel door by a flasher who grabbed me, my friends and i ran screaming to the hotel and reported this to the reception and he handed me a base ball bat... never in my life have i ever been treated so badly by staff at any hoteli would not recommend this hotel to anyone...

Cleanliness of hotel. Hotel bar prices for food and drink is on a par with locations outside of the hotel. Friendly staff.

Cannot check in until 2pm in the afternoon so if you have an early flight you have to sit around and wait for your room.

Everything. Very central location. Close to the strip but not too close that it is noisy on a night. Lots of restaurants and bars. Close to bus routes and train to Alberfuira or you could walk approx 20 mins.

very clean appartment with plenty of room and well equipped. reception staff very efficient and helpful check-in and check-out quick and easy . Nice & quiet but only few minutes from THE STRIP would definitely stay again

would have liked ice box in refrigerator, unable to have ice in drinks or keep frozen food icecream

Very near to the STRIP and plenty of restaurants/bars within a few minutes Short walk to BUS stops and supermarkets

What can i say, the whole experience from arriving to leaving, no problems. This made a very nice enjoyable stay. Rooms are cleaned and fresh towells every day . To cap it all my wife had a very nice bottle of aspi spumanti left for her whilst celebrating a birthday during our stay, nothing mentioned to the staff, but what a very nice surprise. Well done D and all the staff. Thank you.

The furniture was very 60ish but comfortable, some items a little tired, beds a little hard but after a week seemed OK, TV could do with sorting out as some stations came and went whilst watching, but this a minor point.

Shopping, beach walks, sunbathing, swimming,eating out,plenty of pubs / clubs / bars etc.

Staff in general are very helpfull and friendly. Rooms are cleaned and tidied everyday. It is close to all amenities but tucked away in a quiet street.

We have stayed here for two consecutive years because we like the location, but it needs money spent on,many things need upgrading, decoration is poor,bathrooms are very old fashioned, and both years the pool has been out of action for one reason or another.

There are many beaches near by, just a short walk. Bars,Restaurants,Supermarkets are just 2minutes away. Good bus connections if you want to travel further and visit other towns. There are plenty of organised days out including Water Parks,Boat Trips,etc. There is a minature train which leaves every 20minutes to go to Albufeira, which the children would love and the adults as it runs until the early hours and is a good price.

Thought the hotel was fantastic we were looking for a cheap couples weekend away and thats exactly what we got the staff so friendly and helpful everything from drinking on the strip to walking to the beach were 5 minutes away.If there was something i had to put. it would of been nice to of had a fan in the room as we were aware before we booked that there was no airconditioning available so it was an all round fantastic weekend will definatly book again 9/10 thanks

La situación del hotel es buena, cerca de lugares de ocio y playa

Habia cucarachas del tamaño de un perro!!

Beber, para no pensar en la cucaracha asesina,,,,

manque matériel cuisine

plage superbe, soleil, parc attraction,

En las proximidades hay bares y restaurantes y tiene aparcamiento

Es un poco viejo. Hay humedades en las habitaciones. La mesa del balcon estaba mohosa, y a todo el hotel le hace falta una buena capa de pintura. La piscina tb es vieja.

Muy malos modos por parte de uno de los recepcionistas del hotel, que tras entrar en la habitacion sin llamar, para reprocharnos que bajasemos la musica, sin tenerla excesivamente alta (eran las 23:15 hora portuguesa), amenazo con dejarnos en la calle esa noche, tras preguntrale que por que habia entrado sin llamar.

Esta bien situado, cerca de la playa y de la zona de marcha.

Reservamos una apartamento T2 de 6 personas y cuando llegamos nos ubicaron como pudieron en dos de 4, alejados el uno del otro, como que en otro edificio.

Ir a la playa, con la posibilidad de deportes nauticos y salir de marcha
