Sarawak is een van de twee staten op het eiland Borneo, in Maleisië. Het ligt in het noordwesten van het eiland en dit is de grootste staat van het land. De administratieve hoofdstad es Kuching.
Enkele van de voornaamste attracties in de zone zijn de Tempel Tua Pek Kong, de oudste Chinese tempel in Sarawak. U kunt ook de Main Bazaar bezoeken, uit 1864: dit is de voornaamste bazaar in de stad, waar u veel antiek en lokale nijverheid zal vinden. Nog een ander belangrijk monument in de stad is de moskee Kuching Divisional Mosque, uit 1968, maar die op de resten van een oudere moskee uit 1852 gebouwd is. U kunt ook Round Tower bezoeken, gebouwd in 1886; het is niet precies bekend waarom de toren gebouwd is, maar gezien de structuur, bestaat het vermoeden dat het zou kunnen gaan om een vesting. Tegenwoordig kunt u vanaf de toren genieten van geweldige uitzichten op de stad.
