Cuernavaca is de hoofdstad van de Mexicaanse staat Morelos, 90 kilometer ten zuiden van de nationale hoofdstad.

Op de rivier de Amacuzac kunt u diverse sporten doen, waaronder rafting; en in het Natuurlijk Waterpark Las Estacas kunt u duiken en snorkelen. In het meer Tequesquitengo kunt u de kerk Sint Johannes de Doper ontdekken.
Er zijn archeologische schatten te bezichtigen zoals Xochicalco (Werelderfgoed) en Teopanzolco. U kunt ook de historische gebouwen in Cuernavaca bezoeken: de kathedraal en het klooster Asunción; het Paleis van Cortés; en de Tuin Borda. Ook zijn er interessante musea. Als u van kunstnijverheid houdt, dan zijn de beste adressen Avenida Hidalgo en Boulevard Juárez.
