Op slechts 6 kilometer ligt het grootste eiland: Ko Samet. Een paradijselijk eiland, omgeven door gekleurde koraalriffen, met witte zandstranden en een dichte tropische begroeiing. Het is de plek bij uitstek voor watersporten zoals zwemmen, duiken, varen, windsurfen, snorkelen, jetski, maar ook om te klimmen.
Op Ko Samet is een keur aan geweldige hotels, maar ook zijn er veel mooie bungalows, als u die liever heeft. Phai Bay is de plek voor het uitgaansleven. De drukst bezochte stranden zijn: Vong Duen en Nuan Bay. De grootste is Sai Kaew.
In Rayong kunt u het Nationaal Park Ban Phe Phrae bezoeken, of het Schildpadden Reservaat. En in Klaeng is de tempel Wat Saranat Thammaran een aanrader.
