        Beautifully appointed room with microwave and more. Staff concierge and doorman very helpful

        Negatieve opmerkingen

        No a-la-cart breakfast. No facility for people who can't eat a big breakfast and do not wish to pay buffet price. Hence having to leave the hotel to find breakfast No room service for breakfast either- big negative!

        I travel to Hong Kong three times a year and had stayed in the The Lanson Place before and found it most pleasant. This time again, the check in staff was excellent I arrived on the 23 Nov and I felt welcome as I was also ungraded to a better room, the very room I have stayed before. I felt I have come home again.

        However, my taxi arrived at the side of the hotel and dropped me as he was unable to turn (one way street), I had to drag my luggage and hand carry to the front of the hotel and then I had to ask the concierge to come out to help me. Also, I have never felt uncomfortable or annoyed with the hotel's staff and yet when I requested to extend my check out time, the staff was most unpleasant. She has an arrogant attitude about her, that she was too good to work behind the desk and that she was more superior than her guests and gave no reason for not able to fulfill my request. This kind of third grade service belongs to the 2 stars hotel. The female staff was working on 26th Nov morning, the unfortunate thing was I didn't take down her name which I wish I did. I am sure the hotel would like to know how well or how poor their staff is performing. Fair enough, the hotel cannot always meet the requests from their guests, however, you can put a smile on and try to explain why the requests cannot be met. I was very disappointed with just that incident. I have originally planned to return to the hotel next March.
